ahmed hanafy receives advising award

Celebrating Excellence in Student Guidance: Provost’s Academic Advisor of the Year Award goes to Ahmed Hanafy

In recognition of his exceptional contributions, Ahmed Hanafy in the Arabic Program was one of only three advisors on campus presented with the Provost's Academic Advisor of the Year award. The ceremony took place during the Undergraduate Studies Annual Academic Advising Conference, on August 8, 2023.

His nomination letters highlight Ahmed’s tireless advocacy of students. In the School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, he plays an integral role in supporting students throughout the Arabic major, while also providing them with the competitive edge they need to receive national scholarships and find post-graduation employment or graduate programs.

Ahmed is one of the College’s most committed recruiters, standing at the ready to share all that the Arabic Programs have to offer. He makes a point to know his students personally, understand their interests and goals, and students appreciate this. He is driven to ensure that every student feels supported in pursuit of their major.

Congratulations to our outstanding colleague on this honor!
