Arabic Program Scholarships
Several internal and external scholarships are available for students studying Arabic.

UMD Arabic Summer Institute
The Arabic Summer Institute at UMD offers generous SLLC Scholarships to dedicated and diverse students of Arabic each year to help fund intensive summer study.

Arabic Flagship Program
Flagship scholarships provide need-based funding for Arabic Flagship students to help offset tuition costs for domestic summer study, and immersion programs overseas. Flagship students must file the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to be eligible for these scholarships. Overseas
The Language Flagship Program offers competitive scholarships to fund summer and/or full year study abroad in Meknes, Morocco.
Flagship Scholarships are only available to Flagship students and are based on language proficiency examination results and academic performance evaluations.
Flagship students also are encouraged to pursue additional funding such as David L. Boren Scholarships, CLS Scholarships, the Academic Competitive Grants Program, and others.
