Project GO Arabic Program

UMD's Project GO Arabic Program follows a hybrid domestic/overseas model

The program's domestic component is hosted at the UMD Summer Language Institute. During this two and a half weeks, students study Arabic intensively while also participating in a number of cultural activities and workshops to help them develop linguistic as well as cultural fluency, preparing them well for the abroad component.

The overseas portion of the program takes place at the Arab American Language Institute in Morocco (AALIM) in Meknes, Morocco. Students live with host families, meet one-on-one with native language partners, and participate in organized weekly cultural activities and program excursions to other parts of Morocco. This is an exciting opportunity for those interested in Arabic or the Middle East, and are ready to jump start their language-learning journey with an immersive study abroad experience!
