MHALC 2025
"Digital Innovations in Hispanic Applied Linguistics." This year's theme refers to the impact the digital world is having on language use and language study in and by diverse communities, such as the role of AI, the presence of Spanish in digital media, or the use of digital tools to research, learn, or use Spanish.
MHALC is organized by students and faculty in the Hispanic Applied Linguistics master’s degree program at the University of Maryland. This virtual symposium offers undergraduate students the unique opportunity to present their course papers on any aspect of Hispanic applied linguistics in a formal academic setting to an audience of experts and peers.
MHALC 2025 will take place March 28 & 29, 2025 online and in person at the University of Maryland, College Park campus.
- March 28th will be a fully online day with academic presentations by students and faculty as well as institutional presentations.
- March 29th will be a hybrid day, with in-person presentations by guest speakers also streamed online for registered participants.
