Graduate Student Welcome session

School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Monday, August 22, 2022 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm Jimenez Hall, 3120

An opportunity for new and returning TAs to get to know each other and to hear from a panel of returning students about their top tips for life as a graduate student at UMD. These might touch on work/life balance, time management, professional development opportunities, living in the DMV, etc.  Sanshiroh Ogawa (SLA) will serve as the facilitator, and our panelists will be Michaëlle Vilmont (FREN), Nick Brazones (GERS), and Álvaro Villar Cobo (SPAN).

Afterwards, join us at The Hall for a happy hour from 5-7pm. The Hall is located across from the main entrance of campus behind The Hotel building. Seating outdoors. View their menu here.
