Graduate Programs

Our four graduate programs provide training for careers in academia, the government, secondary education, and the private sector.

Application Fee Waiver

Students applying to all SLLC Graduate Programs (Ph.D in FREN, SLA, SPAP and M.A. in FREN, GERS, SLA, SPAN) can request financial assistance to cover the Graduate School application fee ($75).

Students must be ineligible for existing fee waivers offered by the Graduate School. We also encourage domestic applicants to explore FreeApp Eligibility

SLLC will consider up to 3 waivers per program per annual admission cycle for both domestic and international applicants. In order to be considered for SLLC assistance for the application fee, applicants must start the process in TerpEngage and upload available documentation. Applicants must then email the Director of Graduate Studies for their program (see contacts below) requesting the waiver and attaching the following:

1) A statement of purpose describing the candidate’s qualifications for and interest in the degree program. Ideally the same that is submitted with the application.
2) A current CV or resume
3) An explanation for why application fee assistance is being requested based on life experience, need and/or special circumstances (1-2 paragraphs).

For best consideration, apply by Jan 1st for Fall Admissions and Oct. 1st for Spring admissions.
