Susan Blum, an anthropologist at the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and a master’s in Chinese language and literature, is the author of numerous provocative works on education, including Schoolishness (2024).
She will be the keynote speaker for the SLLC Summit 4.0. This year’s theme is “New Pedagogical Perspectives in an Age of Chaos and Rapid Change.” Blum’s keynote, “Against Alienation and Cynicism: Finding Joy and Meaning for All in College Classrooms,” will be held Friday, Aug. 29, at 10 a.m. in JMZ 0220.
