Rebels and Revels: A Virtual Photo Exhibit on the Theatre of the Middle East offers access to 58 rare photos from six countries
Continuing the discussions raised in last Spring’s Rebels and Revels: A Virtual Symposium on the Theatre of the Middle East, this exhibit offers access to 58 rare photos from six countries. The exhibit shows the link between traditional performance and the avant-garde sensibilities of the 1950s and ‘60s. The project is a collaboration between the Roshan Institute for Persian Studies and the School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies at the University of Maryland-College Park.
