Professor Ana Patricia Rodríguez Participates In Arth Forum

SPAP Professor Ana Patricia Rodríguez participated in the ARTH Spring Plenary/College Forum to address hate and violence at UMD

SPAP Professor Ana Patricia Rodríguez participated in the this year’s ARTH Spring Plenary / College Forum on a panel titled “Arts and Humanities Solutions for Hate, Violence and Other Inappropriate Behaviors” on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, alongside Carol Stabile (Professor and Chair, Women’s Studies) and Roger Worthington (Chief Diversity Officer and Provost, Office of Diversity and Inclusion). In a year with national conversations around the #MeToo movement, political tensions, and episodes of violence, this council presented experts who helped identify areas where issues of hate, violence, bias, sexual misconduct, and other inappropriate behaviors in the world of the arts and humanities at UMD affect the safety, security, and civil rights of students, staff, and faculty.

For the first time, this event was live-streamed and can be found here.
