Through the Persian Capstone immersion component students reached ILR level 3

Two Persian Flagship graduates, Isabelle Lareau and Beverly Zand, successfully completed the 2022 Persian Capstone simulated immersion component of the program. They both received the ACTFL OPI certificate of Superior Proficiency (ILR level 3) at the end of the program.

In addition to taking Persian courses, their year-long experience on campus consisted of completing a research project and presenting the results fully in Persian, an internship at Think-Tank in Washington D.C., taking music lessons in Persian with a master musician and learning to play Setar (a stringed musical instrument), and living in the Persian House. Congratulations, Isabelle and Beverly!
