2024 Outstanding German Studies Minor Award Recipient: Ian Strehl

Herzlichen Glückwunsch Ian! Ian Strehl was selected for this year's Outstanding Minor Award for his excellence in the German Studies classroom.
Ian Strehl is currently in his final semester at the University of Maryland, where he is majoring in finance with a minor in German studies. Strehl decided to study German to learn more about the culture and improve his language skills after moving from Germany to the United States when he was four. He wanted to connect with other German speakers at UMD. Upon graduation, he will be working in investment banking in Los Angeles, California, in hopes of utilizing the German language throughout his career.
