Yolanda Arroyo Pizarro is an award-winning Puerto Rican writer of novels, short stories, poetry and creative nonfiction, as well as a performer. Since 2015, they have directed the Cátedra de Mujeres Negras Ancestrales, a creative writing performance project developed in response to the first and second U.N. International Decade for People of African Descent. The initiative is based at EDP University in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and extends to sites of cultural change and anticolonial and Afrofeminist education in San Germán, Ponce, Piñones, Loíza and Bogotá, Colombia.

This event will be conducted in Spanish.
