, Join the Department of Germanic Studies for our year-long movie series: Volk ohne Humor?: The German Comedy Film. We will be screening our first film in this semester titled: “Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot” (Marcus H. Rosenmüller, 2006).,
,, “Wer früher stirbt ist länger tot” tells the story of Sebastian, a young boy in Bavaria wracked with guilt over the death of his mother in childbirth. A comedy, the film shows Sebastian's search for ways to fight his feelings of guilt, seeking such goals as procreation, sanctification, reincarnation, and rocktstardom.,
,, All screenings are free for the UMD community and will be shown with English subtitles. (Do be aware that films may contain disturbing images, language, and sexual content.),
