Yoonjee Hong

Yoonjee is a PhD student in Second Language Acquisition at University of Maryland College Park and a graduate assistant at National Foreign Language center. She earned her MPhil in English and Applied Linguistics from University of Cambridge and holds a BA in English Language and Literature from Yonsei University. Before joining the program, she has taught English communication courses at universities in Korea. Her research interests mainly lie in assessing language proficiency, constructs of language tests, learner production at the discourse level, and language and thought. She recently participated in a project ‘Cross-linguistic patterns in the acquisition of quantifiers’ that has been published in PNAS.
