Dr. Mohammad Navid Bazargan has been teaching as an Assistant professor of Persian studies since 2015. In 2013 Dr. Bazargan was a visiting Scholar of California State University of Northridge where he was a part of the Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Program. Prior to that Dr. Bazargan was granted a Research Fellowship at Harvard University for the academic year 2003-2004. Dr. Bazargan has been teaching as an Assistant Professor of Persian Literature at Azad University for more than ten years before coming to the United States. His is also a member of the academic board of the Great Encyclopedia of Islam since 2004. He has contributed entries for Encyclopedia of Persian Language and Literature and was the senior editor of the Journal of Culture and Literature in Azad University.
