Jorge Andres is a PhD student from Quito, Ecuador. He completed his B.A. in Multimedia Journalism at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and his Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies and Latin American Literature at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. As a scholar, he is interested in Latin American contemporary literature, in particular the intersections between literature and the idea of history; as a daily person, he is interested in fantasy, poetry and science, too. He worked as a cultural journalist and editor in Ecuador at Radio COCOA and covered particularly music, literature, and other arts. He likes writing, reading, listening to music, watching movies, going to the gym, and walking.
