J. Andres is a PhD student from Quito, Ecuador. He completed his B.A. in Multimedia Journalism at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and his Master’s Degree in Cultural Studies and Latin American Literature at Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar. As a scholar, he is interested in Latin American contemporary literature, in particular the intersections between literature and the idea of history. He worked as a cultural journalist and editor in Ecuador at Radio COCOA, an online magazine of independent culture and covered particularly music, literature, and other arts. He likes writing, reading adventure and philosophical novels, listening to music, watching movies, and walking.
