Beth returned to the PhD program in 2020 to complete her dissertation. She has an undergraduate degree in Russian from Dartmouth College, a Master's Degree in Russian and East European Studies from George Washington University, and a Master's Degree in TESOL from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. She recently retired following a career with the US government, where she worked primarily in language training and language testing. Her research interests include language aptitude and language assessment.
