Ella Jacobs receives Outstanding German Studies Minor Award

Ella is a senior environmental science and policy major, geographical sciences minor, and German studies minor. She began learning German during the COVID-19 pandemic and is thankful for the wonderful experiences and education provided to her by Dr. Haag and UMD's German studies department. Her favorite memories include attending the German department's film screenings, playing soccer, and attending orchestral concerts with her German classes. She hopes to continue improving her German proficiency and cultural knowledge by pursuing a Fulbright teaching assistantship in either Austria or Germany.
