Thalia Stewart receives the 2025 Anneliese and Alfred Strauch Scholarship

Thalia Stewart (pictured with her favorite study partner, Jones) is a double major in German studies and Russian language and literature from Silver Spring, Maryland. Growing up, she often visited her grandmother in Germany and has wanted to learn German for as long as she can remember. She is grateful the University of Maryland gave her the opportunity to major in the language and thanks the department and faculty for their continued support and encouragement.
