Language House International Film Series: "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" with the Japanese Cluster
Join students from the Language House Japanese cluster for the next installment in the International Film Series! We'll be screening the film "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" on Tuesday, October 6 at 6:30pm in the International Film Lounge (0107), on the ground floor of St. Mary's Hall. English subtitles will be provided. Everyone is welcome!
Film synopsis: Jiro Ono, an 85-year-old sushi master and owner of a three-star Michelin restaurant in Tokyo. The film follows Jiro's daily life and his lifelong search for absolute perfection in making sushi. It explores the complex relationship between Jiro and his eldest son, Yoshikazu, who works as the heir to the restaurant while living in his father's shadow.
