Soraya Aguayo Román holds an M.A. in TESOL from West Virginia University and a B.A. in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Salamanca. She has experience teaching Spanish in both university and PreK–8 settings. Her research interests include sociolinguistics, bilingualism, and gendered language use, particularly among Spanish-English bilinguals.
