The World Under One Tent 10:00 am- 4:00 pm
- Visit the henna station for a traditional design or your name written in a variety of alphabets, practice calligraphy and crafts from around the world, find your winning streak with trivia and other games, then reach a sugar high with the aid of international candies.
SLLC Meet and Greet Learn All Day
- Chat with current students and faculty members. Discover more about language study. Come at 1 p.m. to hear students share experiences on campus and around the world at the Student Panel.
Get Physical 11:00am-1:00pm.
- Watch a UMD student group perform a traditional Chinese Lion Dance, try out capoeira from Brazil, and enjoy Flamenco music and dance.
Sharing Hope 10:00 am-4:00 pm
- Learn to write inspirational words in world languages and contribute to a collection of word tokens to bring hope to those who need it.
Great Book Giveaway Jimenez Hall Lobby While Supplies Last
- Browse free books available for adults and children, in a variety of languages and on a multitude of topics. Come visit while supplies last.
Chinese Calligraphy Workshop 10:00 am-2:00 pm
- The Chinese Program will teach the basics of Chinese calligraphy, from technique to design. Unleash your inner artist and take home a truly special piece of your own calligraphy!
