Language House International Film Series: 'Salir del ropero' with the Spanish Cluster
Join us for an international movie night at the Language House, hosted by students of the Spanish Cluster. We will screen Salir del ropero (So My Grandma's a Lesbian, 2019) on April 3 at 8 p.m. in Room 0107, St. Mary's Hall, the International Film Lounge. Everyone is welcome.
The film follows Celia and Sofia, two elderly women living in a secluded paradise on the island of Lanzarote. They decide to make their relationship public by getting married, but their decision threatens the wedding plans of Eva, Sofia's granddaughter. Eva, an ambitious lawyer engaged to the heir of a wealthy, ultra-conservative Scottish family, conspires with Jorge, Celia’s son, to stop the marriage.
