Saul Sosnowski Selected As Distinguished Scholar-Teacher

The SLLC Community is very pleased to announce that Prof. Saúl Sosnowski has been selected as a Distinguished Scholar-Teacher

The SLLC Community is very pleased to announce that Prof. Saúl Sosnowski has been selected as a 2020-2021 Distinguished Scholar-Teacher. The Distinguished Scholar-Teacher Program honors members of UMD faculty who have demonstrated outstanding scholarly achievement as well as outstanding accomplishments as teachers. This program recognizes those who have led the way in both areas and who thus serve as models of excellence for the faculty of a top research university. The quality of Sosnowski's publications, the keynote presentations he has given, the awards he has garnered, his indispensable editorial work, the impact he had in building programs with international reputation, the imprint he has left on generations of students at UMD and abroad, makes him an ideal recipient for this honor. He is a champion for the far-reaching relevance of the Humanities. In this pandemic year of 2020, he is celebrating his 50th year as a member of the faculty at a university where he has left a unique mark. We all hope that we can celebrate in person soon; in the meantime, Congratulations Saúl for this well-deserved award!
