Project Pengyou Hosts Mid-Autumn Celebration

Project Pengyou celebrated the approach of this year's Mid-Autumn Festival with an event open to students of all fields of study.

Though the Mid-Autumn Festival doesn't occur on the lunar calendar until October 4th this year, Project Pengyou celebrated it early, hosting an event open to students of all fields of study. Mooncakes, bubble tea, and a raffle all complemented the panel hosted by the group in conjuction with the Chinese department.

The panel was introduced by Professor Hu, the advisor for the Chinese department, who welcomed students to the event and gave them a brief introduction to Chinese study on campus. On the panel, students who had traveled abroad both with and without University of Maryland programs shared their stories of time abroad in a Chinese speaking environment and fielded questions from curious students.
