Food Odysseys Event Featured In Student Publication

The Language House's Food Odysseys event has been featured in UMD's student-run publication, Stories Beneath the Shell.

The Language House's Food Odysseys event has been featured in UMD's student-run publication, Stories Beneath the Shell. Dr. Anny Gaul is also quoted in the article “Food odysseys remind us that we’ve always lived in connected, entangled worlds,” Gaul said. “Instead of fixating on authentic or pure versions of a particular dish –– or any cultural phenomenon, really –– learning to think not in terms of fixed categories but ‘odysseys’ like these gives us a much richer sense not only of what we are eating and who we are.” 

The event was organized by Language House Director Marilyn Matar.
