What Can I Do?

Visitors

Interactivity with the SLLC Site is minimal for regular users. A content management system allows the editors and content creators of the site to easily aggregate content to the places where it is most applicable. Often articles or events may appear on multiple pages such as both German and French if the article or event is a collaboration between the two programs. All content is sorted by category in addition to program so you may sort through the news by announcements, or research, or you may sort through events specifically looking for conferences, workshops, lectures. All of the specifc categories can be found in the menu on the left of the page in news and events. Some of our programs have facebook and twitter pages unique to them, you may find them at the bottom right of each page. We have done our best to ensure that you can find what you are looking for on our site. We hope you enjoy your experience. Please let us know if you have any feedback on your user experience with the SLLC site.

Faculty and Staff

Each person in the SLLC has a profile on the website that can be accessed by logging in. The login button is in the top right corner of the page. Login using your university directory ID and you will be taken to your profile. This is the public profile on the SLLC website, it is what others will see when they find your name in the people section. Please click here for detailed instructions on updating your profile. If there is anything amiss on the site or if you have an article or event to submit to the website you may either contact your departmental web editor or send a note to the SLLC web admin. If you do not have a profile on the site and think that you should, please contact the SLLC Web Admin.

Editors

SLLC web editors are given access to create content (News and events) and edit pages. All pages on the SLLC website are given specific departmental tags to designate access. An editor may be given access to one or more areas of the website for editing. In addition an editor will be able to post news and events in the areas they have access to, and the front page. Editors may also control what is shown in the features and rotating images for their specific areas. Please read through all links in the SLLC web guide to the left before posting anything and let the SLLC Web admin know if you have any specific questions.
