coffee convo schedule

Each week, the Language House located in St. Mary's hall is spotlighting food from different cultures, which are prepared by the residents. Participants are free to enjoy these snacks while they practice a second language.

We recently featured snacks from the Hebrew (Nov. 18) and Japanese clusters (Nov. 25).

The Hebrew cluster brougt in a smorgasbord of snacks, including hummus and pita, bamba (a peanut-butter flavored snack), babka (a sweet braided cake) and halva (a candy with ground sesma end pistachio).

The Japanese cluster provided onigiri, a rice ball filled with ingredients like salted salmon.

Coffee chats will resume in the Spring, with new and different snacks from the many cultures represented by our residents.

We hope to see you there!
