Description: This part-time, paid position conducts research to support the investigative and intelligence services provided by TDI. The position is located in our downtown Washington, DC office with a flexible schedule of 25-40 hours per week. Researchers are hired for a period of 3 months with the possibility for renewal based on need and mutual agreement from both parties.



  • Conduct detailed investigative research and analysis focused on emerging markets to identify and understand regulatory, legal, or reputational risks. This involves skillful research utilizing open sources and databases for conducting pre-transaction and compliance due diligence investigations on companies and/or individuals of interest.
  • Produce high quality and accurate written reports with the ability to understand and summarize large amounts of information from diverse sources.
  • Work as a member of a team providing assistance to senior colleagues.
  • Exhibit a high level of professionalism.

Qualifications: Desired Skills and Experience

  • Undergraduate and graduate students, or recent grads, looking for professional experience
  • Successful candidates are creative problem solvers with exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills; candidates may be asked to complete a diagnostic test to this effect.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional language; current priorities are Italian, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, and Arabic.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
