Associate Professor of German and Media and Cinema Studies, Dr. Hester Baer has recently been appointed the next co-editor of German Quarterly.

Associate Professor of German and Media and Cinema Studies, Dr. Hester Baer has recently been appointed the next co-editor of German Quarterly. The journal is the flagship journal for German literary and cinematic studies. Begun in 1928, this peer reviewed journal is highly sought after by researchers in various disciplines of German studies.

In an article written on April 15, the journal writers of Dr. Baer and her co-editor, Dr. Karin Schutjer “Professors Baer and Schutjer are well-established scholars with outstanding publishing records, as well as administrative and editorial experience” and [w]e believe they are well positioned to continue innovation that occurred under the editorship of Carl Niekerk and also to launch new initiatives that cultivate new audiences while also appealing to the journal’s current audiences.”
