DESCRIPTION

This minor recognizes students who have undertaken a concentrated study of the language and culture of Korea. The minor is open to both heritage and non-heritage students alike.

All students new to SLLC courses must take the online Foreign Language Placement Test (FLPT) before registering for classes.

Three courses in Korea-related studies from fields such as history, sociology, and art history (9 credits)

At least one of these courses must have broad East Asian content to provide breadth to the minor.

Notes:

  • At least nine of the 15 hours required for the major must be at the 300-level or above
  • No more than 6 of the 15 credits toward the minor may transferred from Study Abroad.
