DEVICES IN YOUR CLASSROOM? For or against?

Printer-friendly version
JMZ 1205
Friday, April 21, 2017 - 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Join us as we hear from Dr. Scott Roberts, Director of the Teaching and Transformation Center on the evidence for and against devices in the classroom.

As most students embrace the “Bring Your Own Device” model we have to consider their potential impact on engagement and learning. We will lead participants through an interactive review of the research evidence for some of the best applications of these personal devices, as well as some of the reasons to consider banning them altogether. Bring your devices with you (but don’t check your email :-)).

This event is open to all faculty, staff and graduate students. Please let us know if you plan to attend. Light refreshments will be served
