The campus community is invited to a collaborative performance featuring Quique Avilés and USLT 202 and SPAN 408F students.

Quique Avilés is a leading performer, poet, and activist. A native of El Salvador and a graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, D.C., he writes, performs, leads workshops, and mentors young and emerging artists. In his latest work-in-progress, "The Memoirs of Speedy Gonzales," Quique Avilés teams up with students in USLT 202 and SPAN 408F to bring the iconic mouse carton out of retirement for an hour of spoofing and reflection on the state of Latinas/os in the United States today.
