SPRING 2018 COMMENCEMENT:

On behalf of the School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures, I would like to invite you and your guests to attend the School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures Commencement Ceremony on Saturday,  May 19, 2018 at 3:30pm in the Dekelboum Concert Hall, The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center.  A reception of light refreshments will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room of St. Mary’s Hall (The Language House) immediately following the ceremony.

All graduates along with their advisors will meet at 2:45pm in the Robing Room.  Look for signs that point to the Robing Room.

Please note the following:                        

  1. At 3:15pm, faculty and graduates will line up by language and in alphabetical order.
  2. At 3:25pm, faculty and students will proceed to the Dekelboum Concert Hall and be seated with other candidates from your department. 
  3. Please urge your guests to be seated by 3:00pm if they wish to observe the student and faculty processional.
  4. If you are hearing impaired and need an interpreter, or require any other special assistance, please contact Disability Support Services at 301-314-7682. 

Please RSVP to let us know if you plan to attend, by Monday, May 7, 2018. Indicate the number of guests who plan to accompany you that day to the commencement ceremony and/or the reception.
